Coniston is a pretty village situated at the foot of the 'Old Man of
Coniston', (2635ft).
This popular, yet quiet, Lakeland village has two small supermarkets
(one, with a very good butchers) a post office, four pubs, several
cafes all serving food and, a take-away chip shop. A great base for
walking, fishing, water sports, bike riding, painting etc. It is also
conveniently situated with Ambleside, Grasmere, Windermere and
Hawkshead all within 30 minutes drive.
